The Union Pacific Railroad, Landoll Corporation, USD 364, Community Memorial Health Care, Valley Vet Supply, and Tension Envelope are the largest employers in Marysville. Marysville also offers many services including four banks, a credit union, a full service grocery store, a pharmacy, multiple gas stations, a selection of restaurants, jewelry, shoes, unique gifts, multiple motels, a veterinarian clinic, and a Super Walmart that includes a pharmacy.
Marysville is proud to be a "Main Street " community, one of twenty-two in Kansas and recognized as a certified and accredited program by the National Trust for Historic Preservation. This is a tight community of retail and service businesses dedicated to the success of downtown.
Downtown is the home to the only original "Home Station #1" along the Pony Express route and only a block down Broadway is the beautiful bronze statue of a Pony Express Rider. This statue was put in the heart of our city to commemorate the rough era in our nation's growth. Next to this statue is the very unique Lifetiles. To get more information on the Lifetiles please visit our Services/Parks page.
Another attraction in the beautiful city of Marysville is the Historic Trails Park, on the west side of town. This park is home of the full sized rope ferry that is crafted just like when the pioneers made it. This ferry was used until 1864 when the first bridge was built.
Enjoy the wonderful outdoors, visit the many attractions, and take a walk through town and you will notice the black squirrels in which Marysville gets their name, The Black Squirrel City.
